M’Banza Congo
After breakfast, city tour passing by the ruins of the Cathedral of São Salvador do Congo, also called Kulumbimbi. A UNESCO World Heritage site, it is considered the first Christian church built in Africa, in the 15th century, and elevated to a cathedral in the 16th century. Today, you will also have the opportunity to visit the Museum of the Kings of Congo, the Yala Knuwu (sacred tree), Sungilu (a place associated with the funeral ceremonies of the kings), and the Parish of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, the current Cathedral of this city. Lunch and afternoon free for personal activities. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
