Charms of Angola - Group

After breakfast, depart to visit the main tourist attractions of the city of Luanda. Start at Largo Primeiro de Maio, where Angola's independence was proclaimed, and see the statue of Angola's first president. Continue through the city's avenues to the São Miguel Fortress, the first fortification built in Luanda in the 16th century during the rule of Paulo Dias de Novais. Pass through the city center, where the Assembly and Presidential buildings are located, and finish the morning with a visit to the Memorial Dr. António Agostinho Neto. After lunch, continue with a visit to the Palácio de Ferro and one of the city’s museums (Museum of Currency, Museum of Natural History, Luanda Science Center, or Museum of Anthropology), depending on the museum's opening days. Dinner (not included) at a renowned restaurant, with the possibility of enjoying a dance night or live music at a bar (optional). Overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, depart via the village of Catete, in Icolo e Bengo, towards N’dalatando. Visit the Botanical Garden. Check-in and lunch at Irmãos Chaves Farm, with the afternoon free to enjoy the activities offered by the farm (horseback riding, coffee plantation tour, swimming pool, jacuzzi). Dinner (not included) and overnight stay at the farm.

After breakfast at the farm, we continue our journey to the city of Malange. Picnic lunch at the rapids of the Kwanza River, where we can enjoy a stunning landscape. After lunch, we head towards the Kalandula Falls, the second-largest waterfalls in Africa, where we can enjoy a unique view of the falls until sunset. Check-in at Kahombo Resort with dinner and overnight stay.

Departure very early (05:00) towards the mysterious Pungo Andongo Black Stones, where legend says Queen Nzinga left her footprint. Breakfast and free time to stroll and enjoy the location. Our journey continues towards Bailundo with lunch along the way. Overnight stay and dinner at the hotel.

After breakfast, visit the Ombala do Rei do Bailundo. This kingdom, called Halavala, was an African state of the Ovimbundu people. During our visit, we will have the opportunity to hear from the local chiefs (sobas) about the history of the Kingdom and a story about the ancestral traditions preserved by the rulers. Continue on to the city of Huambo. Lunch and a city tour. Free evening for personal activities. Overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, depart towards the city of Lubango. Picnic lunch along the way. Arrival in Lubango with free time for rest and personal activities. Accommodation at Pululukwa Resort (or similar), dinner (not included), and overnight stay at the location.

After breakfast, a tour of the city of Lubango, known as the city of knowledge, with visits to the city center, the Cathedral, the Regional Museum of Huíla, Nossa Senhora do Monte, and the city garden. After lunch (not included), our visit will end at Angola's first wonder, "Tundavala," where we will enjoy the sunset. Return to the hotel, dinner (not included), and overnight stay.

After breakfast, departure for the Chibia region where we will have our first contact with the Herero people and the local Mumuíla tribe. Visit to the local market and the village of Huíla, followed by a visit to the waterfall of the same name. After lunch (not included), return to the city of Lubango for a free afternoon. Themed dinner with local delicacies, and on some days, we may have the opportunity to enjoy local dances at a city restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Before leaving the Huíla Province for the Namibe Province, after breakfast, we will make a stop at the Christ the King statue, where you will be presented with the best view of the city of Lubango. This will be followed by a stop at the Leba Viewpoint, where you will have the chance to admire the magnificent landscape and the incredible engineering work that is the Serra da Leba road. At the foot of the Serra, we will stop at the informal Mangueiras market to observe the local population, including Himba and Mumuíla herders. A picnic lunch will be served, followed by departure towards Virei, where we will visit a Himba cemetery. From there, we continue to Tchitundo-Hulo, where we will set up our camp. Dinner will be served around the campfire, and we will spend the night in camping tents.

At dawn, after breakfast, we will visit the remote caves with rock paintings and have the opportunity to interact with the local Mucubal tribe. Following this, we will depart for Tômbwa, where we will enjoy a grilled fish lunch. In the evening, we will have dinner and spend the night camping in the world’s oldest desert, the Namibe Desert, surrounded by its unique landscapes.

After breakfast, visit to the Tômbwa cliffs, the Lagoa dos Arcos, and the Curoca Hills. Picnic lunch. Departure towards the city of Moçâmedes and check-in at a local hotel. Dinner (not included) and overnight stay.

Check-out from the hotel right after breakfast and a brief visit to the city of Moçâmedes, then departure towards Praia do Soba, passing by the beach and natural pools of Piambo, one of the hidden secrets of the Namibe province. Dinner and overnight stay at Praia do Soba or Mariquita (subject to availability).

After breakfast, departure towards Benguela, passing through the beautiful coastal area, with a picnic lunch along the way. Dinner (not included) and overnight stay at Kapembawé Lodge.

Early morning game drive through the resort followed by breakfast. Departure to Lobito, passing through the city of Benguela for a city tour. Lunch (not included) in Benguela and free afternoon at Restinga do Lobito to enjoy the seaside and beach. Dinner at your leisure (not included) and overnight stay at one of the hotels in the city.

Very early in the morning, we will depart towards Luanda, with a stop in Porto Amboim for lunch (not included). Stop at the Miradouro da Lua and, if time allows, a visit to the Museum of Slavery. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel. End of our services or extension.
